Merry Christmas! I cannot believe that Christmas is already here!!! The Perrys are gearing up for the holidays. Our schedule takes us through the first week of December and then we are off until the 29th! This will be a much needed break for everybody.
Libbi, Tracy and Jared are all ready for the holidays. They have decorated in an old fashioned motif with the bright garland, big bulb lights and old fashioned ornaments. They also have 3 other trees in their house. Lib's tree is decorated in all "I Love Lucy" ornaments. Tracy and Lib have a half divided tree. Tracy displays his Tennessee Volunteer ornaments on one half of the tree while Lib displays her Georgia Bulldog ornaments. And Jared has a tree in his room decorated with SpiderMan, Scooby Doo, and Elvis ornaments. Their house is always really cool this time of year. I can't forget to mention their very bright outdoors display!!! Clark Griswold has nothing on Tracy Stuffle!
Loren, Cindy and Cameron are also ready for the upcoming holiday events. Cameron has learned who Ho.Ho. Ho is and always wants the tree turned on. He too has his own tree decorated nicely with Veggie Tale ornaments. I am understanding that between Cameron and their cat Emmitt, the tree may not make it until Christmas. Cameron is growing up fast and is such a joy this time of year.
Carol and I, well, are unpacking again. We just bought our first house in November and we are thrilled to be in a home of our own. the house is in Marion, NC and is in a great community with great folks living next door. We have our Christmas decor up and hopefully our little dog Baxter won't unstring the lights this year. (I had to redecorate it 3 times last year!!! No joke!) Our favorite things at Christmas are our Christmas Villages, Harry Connick Jr.'s Christmas CD, and Carol's famous Chocolate-Oatmeal Drop cookies. I could eat 100 of them! Oh, and I can't forget....we finally have a fireplace and are thoroughly enjoying it!
So you see, we love Christmas, we even have a tree and little Christmas stockings on our bus. WE LOVE IT! But most importantly, we cherish and celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We have so many reasons to celebrate! Without Him, there would be no celebration. Please take a moment and remember Him this Christmas season.
Oh and by the way, Please send Kirk Talley a fruitcake! HE LOVES THEM!!!!
Until the New Year,
Curt Davis
