Well we are off again! By the time you read this The King’s Herald’s will be starting our tour of the Pacific Northwest that will last the entire month of April. Wow! To be honest, it makes me kind of tired just thinking about it, but I know once the wheels get rolling I will be more than ready to get out there!!
So far, 2006 has been quite a busy year. Our first tour of the new year found us in Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida. We sang 30 concerts in 35 days! Seeing first hand the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina was heartbreaking. So many people are still in the process of rebuilding their lives after loosing everything. We need to continue to keep those folks in our prayers and realize that there is a mission field on the Gulf Coast where there is still much to be done.
On a happier note, we are getting ready to go back into the studio and start work on a new project. After 80 years in Gospel Music, this will be the first time that The King’s Herald’s have recorded in Nashville. We are excited to say the least. We have been working with several of the top songwriters and publishers in Gospel music and are amazed at the number of great songs that are coming our way. To tell you the truth, it will be hard to narrow the songs down to just 10 or 12. We also will be working with some of the industries top creative people from musicians, engineers, producer etc. More about that later.
One last thing. On top of everything else that’s going on, the group is planning to relocate in the next few months to the Nashville area. This is a big step since the Quartet has been headquartered out of Southern California for the past 65 years. This move will enable The King’s Herald’s to become more involved in the Gospel music community. Keep us in your prayers and we will keep you updated as things progress. In the meantime, don’t forget to visit our website at http://www.theheralds.org and order your copy of our new release entitled Encores which was reviewed last month.
Until next month, God bless and be sure to come see us when we are in your area.
