It's almost time for Southern Gospel Music's premier event! The National Quartet Convention starts in just six weeks, and this year's event will be jam-packed with great music from beginning to end - as always!
Family Music Group and Butler Music Group will host a showcase in conjunction with Heritage Communications. Label artists along with some very special guests will be featured on Sept. 16 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Executive Inn in Louisville, Ky., and it's a free event. Consider this your personal invitation to see and hear Christlike, The Living Waters Trio, Sharron Kay King, Jamie Farmer, Cheri Taylor, The Morris', The Glovers, Ava Kasich, Sondra Burnett, Debbie Robbins, and lots more at this second annual event.
Closer even than NQC is the release of Family Music Group's latest radio compilation. (In fact, it's so close, it has already happened!) Four Butler Music Group artists are featured on this CD and you're sure to enjoy every single one of them.
First is "One Step At A Time," Sharron Kay King's latest single. It is the title song from her debut CD for BMG. This song, written by Dee Gaskin, is a winner "from the git-go" and should portray the attitude of every Christian's heart.
Next up is "Hurtin' People," a song from the pen of Del Way rendered by The Glovers on their BMG debut album, Out of the Darkness. This dynamic duo will truly sing their way into your hearts.
From The Morris' comes their latest single, "Your Will" from Home of Joy. When it comes to songwriting, Van and Kathryn Morris take a back seat to no one, and when it comes to singing, add daughter Candi and you have an unbeatable combination.
Jamie Farmer, one of BMG's newest additions, is represented on this latest radio compilation with a song from his own pen, "Faith." If you enjoyed "Livin' for the Lord, the title song from Jamie's BMG debut album, wait until you hear this one! It's a winner for sure.
There's a lot more to love on this latest compilation, including music from Freedom Voice, Johnny Minick and Friends, Debbie Robbins, Kim McLean, Brandon Porter and Dewayne Holt.
We appreciate so much your support of our artists - both on radio and in personal appearance. It is always an encouragement to them when we are able to pass on the e-mails and phone calls we receive in their support. In closing, here are a couple of examples we'd like to share with you:
From Tim Bates, WTRM:
I wanted to let you know that we were with Christlike last month in Kentucky and let me tell you they really did a great job that day. I didn't realize they were so anointed (that's almost a thing of the past now you know). My nine-year-old nephew has got to be their biggest fan. They really had an influence on him, which I think is great (he just gave his life to the Lord this Easter).
From Will Proffit, KWKQ-KSWA:
Christlike's new single continues to be RED HOT here...fantastic song.
We are receiving the Family Music Group Compilations...and I always look forward to getting the latest because I know it's going to be full of great songs. Thanks so much for all you're doing...keep up the great work. God bless.
See you next month!
