While it’s true our world, including our churches, is FULL of people who are desperate for hope, at the same time, our churches are also full of wonderful, God-loving, God-serving folks who would give their last breath for God’s people
Sometimes it’s the simplest words that can touch our hearts the deepest. As the Easter season approaches churches are gearing up to give us great theatrical cantatas and choirs are practicing intricate song arrangements and pastors are preparing eloquent sermons
So let us share the Good News with everyone that God opens the door for you to speak to. Be ready to bless someone with the Blessings of the Lord this month. Look for opportunities to share with someone the Love of God.
I know people are hurting and losing their jobs but in the grand scheme of things, God is still in control of a Christian's life and if we turn to him for guidance and direction instead of the government and the NEWS, our lives will not be in Crisis
After a recent program in Georgia, we were blessed to have met a young anesthesiologist at our product table. She walked up and, as tears filled her eyes, she told us to never stop singing "I Get To." She said this because she recently lost her husband -- her soulmate
Life is full of things that are different than they seem. A mystery if you will. A caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly through a transition process. An acorn through a different transition process becomes a huge oak tree. And, the ugly duckling evolves into a beautiful swan
For those of you who did not go...you missed it! We had an awesome time and guess what you missed it! You missed some of the most beautiful scenery and good gospel singing as well as good gospel eating aboard one of the most elegant cruise ships sailing today
I don’t care much for sleep. Now, I realize that comment has just marked my name squarely in the “looney” column, but it’s true. If my body didn’t require it to function, I’d never sleep. You go unconscious for six to eight hours and only God knows what could happen
April is one of our favorite times of the year!!! Well, when it’s not raining!!! Everything starts to bloom and the weather is so beautiful. It is almost as if everything just gets a new start at life; almost the same as us when we all accepted Jesus
Over the years, I’ve met many musicians who hate rehearsals and, frankly, I just don’t get it. Sure, you don’t have an audience, and you don’t get rounds of wild applause every time you sing that high note, but rehearsals give a creative satisfaction
Wedding bells rang, a CD was released, and a single went up the charts. February was a great month, and March is looking even better! The CD has now hit the web and is soon to hit the stores. We are so excited for the world to hear the message that God has given us
In October 2007, we were driving a Ford Expedition with 250,000 miles, crammed in like sardines, pulling a trailer. We had just surrendered our lives, our jobs, and our entire family to full-time ministry and had just discovered we were expecting child number four. HOW were we going to make it?
The first week of April we will be traveling to Holland, Ohio to do a video with our friends The Toney Brothers. This will take place at the WPOS Center and is in celebration of Terry Toney, two time winner in the National Head Butting Championships.
We know that everyone seems to be a bit fearful about the economy and the general state the our world seems to be in right now. Just remember that none of this has shocked God off His throne. He STILL is in control no matter what FOX or CNN say.
I’ve always suspected I was hopelessly middle class. It was confirmed for me one day when my daughter, Jamie, then five or six, named her new doll Polyester. I guess it could have been worse. Her Cabbage Patch twins could have been Rayon and Dacron
I once had a wonderful voice teacher who encouraged all her students to research the history of the songs we sang. Who wrote it? What inspired the song? What was happening in history when that song was written?
We have heard that in a child's prayer for many years and it is still true. He is our Good and Great and Only God! From the time we are born to the time we are Born Again, God woos us as only he can.
God does not promise to keep us from life and its circumstances, however God does promise us to give us the grace and the strength to stay on the chosen path the he has chosen for us. Not to be shaken is to not be thrown off the path
I read of a family a few years ago that started their own family holiday. They chose March 4th as their special day to celebrate with food and games, but their primary goal was to take a look back at the blessings of the past year
I have started back to the studio working on a brand new project. This new CD is just in the beginning stages, but I can tell you that it is going to include brand new songs just ready to take off as well as some of your and my favorite “oldies.”
Last month, my wife shared how she carried the abortions of her past into our marriage and how those dark secrets nearly destroyed us. Now, I will show the amazing way God brought the two of us together for His purpose.
God has called us his friend. I have thought about this passage for days, and how many people do you call friend that you would lay your life down? God loved us so much that he gave us his Son and Jesus loved His father and He loved us
Some would have me believe it’s just the day we live in, and that gospel concerts have gone the way of the old tent revival…we’re just too sophisticated now. But I still believe…if you promote it, promote it right, they will come!
We have seen, in this day of ANYTHING GOES, that love has many different meanings. If you look at what the world calls love, it is a one night stand, or a man and a woman living together. It is also called an alternative lifestyle in some cases.
February is known as the month of little candy hearts and flowers. This month is special to a lot of people. Some got married, or some fell in love with that special someone on Valentines Day. This time of year may we remember to tell the ones we love whatever is on our hearts
Hymnals are some of my favorite books in the world. I buy them at college book sales and from online bidding sites. My collection contains over 40 hymnals from all denominations and several countries. Some are new books, being used in churches this very Sunday.
