Southern Gospel Promoters Association
I know everyone has felt the pinch with sky rocketing gas and diesel fuel. We are headed for some hard, hard times in the days to come. And, as promoters, we must be very diligent to continue to do things the right way in promoting Southern gospel music
Seems like this year is really flying by, but I am happy to report that most promoters seem to be having a good year. I am getting more and more positive reports even though the economy is low, concert attendance is up, which means financial losses are down
Overall, I believe the SGPA has had a remarkable year which included giving back to our members free motel accommodations and dinner in May, and the cruise and breakfast at Convention

Promoters provide the greatest music and the best family entertainment available anywhere, but charge less. As you can see promoters are not trying to get rich. More often than not, they would be happy to just break even
For the SGPA, I think it has been one of our better years in that our membership has grown, our revenue has been good due to the projects we have shared, and all of the Officers are doing a great job
I personally believe that promoters are responsible for keeping the buses rolling and the artists’ payrolls coming. Would an airline have a convention and ignore the pilots? So, why do we have a Gospel Convention and ignore the promoter?
