It's hard to believe that another year of the SGN Fan Festival has come and gone. For the 9th year in a row, fans have come from across the nation to be blessed and moved by great Gospel singing
Bands and live music were not what made this music so popular. This genre has NEVER been based on the band. It's always been based on vocals and harmony. Why do you think that we called them "All Night Sings" for years?
I'm getting older and the more involved I get in Gospel Music, the less I am impressed with all the new things happening. After a while I realized that it isn't just Gospel Music that I feel that way about, I don't get all gooey over brand new cars anymore either

I love the voices of Jerry Vales, or Robert Goulet, or Andy Williams, or even Harry Connick, Jr. I know of other people who will swoon at the voice of Willie Nelson, or Conway Twitty, or Johnny Cash. Now I'm wondering, "what in the world do they like about those voices?"

Have you noticed that today there is not only news of the Middle East nightly, but hourly on the TV and radio? If we look hard enough we can see the strife of Ishmael and Isaac
Have you ever walked into a nice restaurant and had the waiter tell you "I think that today you will have beans and cornbread?"
There are some things that should NEVER change in Southern Gospel Music
What a dynamic picture I have in my mind that the Son of God crawled over on that cross Himself
When is the last time that this nation has seen the power of God actually moving in our churches?
