Provision Disbands
ASHEVILLE, NC - It is a bitter sweet moment for the singing ministry of Provision. Provision will finish out the remaining dates in 2006.Scott Rogers, owner/lead singer states, "It is a bitter sweet moment for us! My wife was approached several weeks ago to become the Choir Director at our home church. So, after much prayer and seeking guidance from the Lord and others, she decided to take the position. Brothers Forever Helps Raise Support for Nashville Rescue Mission and 2nd Base Foundation

As a part of this effort, Brothers Forever, along with Woody Wright and Steve Warren, were auctioned off to the highest bidder for a free concert. All donations went to the Nashville Rescue Mission.

“We were honored to be a part of the drive for the Nashville Rescue Mission,” mentioned Curtis Hagy of Brothers Forever. “When this opportunity came up as well, we just knew it was a total God-thing. We are so excited to be a part of this. We know that God had his hand on the situation the whole time!”
The concert’s date, time, and location will be announced soon on the Solid Gospel Network.

Dottie Rambo to Appear at Showstreet Theatre, Dollywood

PIGEON FORGE, TN — With the bright colors of the majestic Smoky Mountains as a backdrop, the stunning autumn décor ideally sets the stage for a memorable weekend at America’s favorite theme park. Besides the many crafters and artisans who are scheduled to be on hand with their live demonstrations and exhibits, one of Dolly Parton’s dearest friends will be doing a series of special musical performances at the Showstreet Palace Theatre: beloved legendary Gospel music songwriter and recording artist Dottie Rambo. Her first appearance at Dollywood will be this Friday, October 20th, at 2:30 p.m.
"Dollywood is one of my favorite places to sing,” Dottie said this week. “The fans that come are glued to every word you say and every note you sing.”
The appearance is especially sentimental for Dottie since she and Dolly have been dear friends as well as music industry colleagues for many years. In 2004, the two collaborated on the international hit duet, “Stand By The River,” which appears on a CD of the same title, by Spring Hill Records. Their rendition of Dottie’s composition earned them the number one spot on the Christian Country music charts, as well as the European Christian music charts. The song went on to earn a Dove Nomination and four CCMA award nominations. The pair later won the Canadian Christian Fan Awards for Duo and Song of the Year.
In addition, Dolly is also a prominent character in the new best-selling book, Driving Ms. Dottie, penned by Dottie’s manager, Larry Ferguson, about life on the road with the Gospel music legend. In the volume, Larry shares many behind-the-stage stories—humorous and inspiring—from the road. Many of the accounts incorporate some of Dottie’s celebrity friends, including not only Dolly Parton, but also Lily Tomlin, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Tammy Faye Baker Messner and others.
“Dolly Parton is such a great friend and one of the greatest songwriters there is. She's created a wonderful place for people to come and enjoy Gospel music in a clean and fun environment. The kids can ride the roller coasters, and moms and grandmas can look at all the crafts. It's just incredible,” Dottie added.
Dottie’s live concerts at Showstreet Palace Theatre will be on Fri., Oct. 20th, at 2:30, 4:00 and 5:30 p.m.; Sat., Oct 21st, at 4:00, 5:15, and 6:30 p.m.; and Sun., Oct. 22, at 2:30, 4:00, and 5: 30 p.m. All seats are first come, first serve. Concerts are free with admission to Dollywood. The Showstreet Palace is located adjacent to the Southern Gospel Music Hall Of Fame and Museum, of which Dottie is a Hall of Fame member. Between concerts, attendees may want to visit the museum and see Dottie's Hall Of Fame plaque and other artifacts from her illustrious career.

Local Choir Kicks Off Signing Of Major Recording Contract With Special Concert Event
Joseph Bolin, Associate Pastor of Worship, who has grown the choir from 160 members to its present 350, says of the partnership, “We feel very blessed to have this opportunity. Crossroads Entertainment and Marketing has long been a leader in the Christian music industry and we consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to work with them. Their credibility and track record of success speaks for itself. We are truly looking forward to the event on October 26th at the church with the Talley’s, The Kingdom Heirs, Phil Cross and Poet Voices, Lauren Talley and Three Bridges. What a way to launch our first major recording for the company.”
Crossroads Co-Executive Officer and Blount County native Chris White states, “Only a handful of choirs and orchestras from around the country have all the tools to merit a national recording contract. The Knoxville area happens to be blessed to have one of those few with the Sevier Heights group. We have long wanted to add such an entity to our roster, but finding one that can fulfill all the required elements to be successful to a wide audience can be very difficult. Joseph has done an incredible job of putting all the pieces in place for this opportunity to exist. We wanted to add a few of our core artists to the event in order to elevate our retail possibilities, realizing that the choir will be a new artist to most of the store buyers. We will use the event in October to create video and audio products, as well as television specials. I don’t believe that anyone who is able to attend the event will leave disappointed,” White added.
The projected retail release date for this project is March 20th, 2007, at which time it will be available to retail outlets as well as internet stores throughout the world.
