Bob Thomas

Bob is no stranger of Gospel music considering his past music participation with several groups, ensembles. Bob even was a member during college with a popular quartet that included the very well-known Frank Breeden (Former multi-term President of the Gospel Music Association GMA.)
Music has always been a strong component to Bob's ministry, and he has used since the beginning it to complement his revival meetings and preaching services.
He recently gave his perspective on what God is doing with his music ministry. "I have really felt God's strong direction and leading in the area of music for the past several years. Over this time, I have had so many requests for my music products. That's where the Gospel Heritage Label comes in - - I look to the Gospel Heritage Label as my ministry partner to help spread this dimension of my ministry." He continued, "I have looked for several years for an organization that would share my vision for ministry and Lamp Music, Mike Pillow and his entire staff have been the perfect fit for me . . . . I have found my label home."
Bob's non-profit ministry board which oversees his growing evangelical ministry based in Oklahoma, has also been on board with the label partnership which came together in early 2004. Having been approached by several other gospel labels, they were seriously discouraged at the lack of professionalism in several of the other mainstream companies. As an industry leader, Lamp's continued innovation in 'classy' marketing strategies paired with industry renowned production capabilities was the only clear choice.
With his colorful personality and rich baritone voice, Bob is definitely going to make his mark on the industry.
Bob's debut single, "What If" was written by his son and is currently at radio on the Lamp Sampler Vol 26, and it is also available through Lamp's Digital Distribution system.

The Talleys - Nov 04

Hope this finds everyone well. The Talley Trio is as busy as ever, but we’re counting the days until we get to enjoy our turkey and football in peace on Thanksgiving.
Our newest project is titled Praise For the Ages, and is a little different from our previous projects in that it features some old songs paired with new songs, such as the medley of “Shout to the Lord/How Great Thou Art.” Also on this recording are several acappella tunes, for which we’ve had a lot of requests. This project has received incredible responses so far, and we have witnessed audiences worshipping across the country unlike anything we’ve ever seen. You can order your copy of Praise For the Ages at http://www.talleytrio.com.
We filmed a live video shoot recently in Lancaster, Ohio, featuring songs from Praise For The Ages, to a most enthusiastic audience. We shared the stage with Ivan Parker, who also filmed a video, the Anchormen, the Kingsmen, and the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet. Ivan also joined us on a song as a special bonus cut for our video. No details are in yet, but of course I'll let you know when it will be released. We're also releasing a "Live Across America" video with songs from our previous projects, including The Message. These two videos will most likely be ready for release in early 2005.
The Talley Trio would like to invite everyone to our third annual Smoky Mountain Homecoming! Held July 22-23, 2005, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, this event has quickly become one of the fastest growing gospel music events in the country. This year we’ll be hosting the Booth Brothers, Mercy’s Mark Quartet, and piano extraordinaire Anthony Burger. Tickets are now on sale, with hotel/ticket packages available. If you’d like a mountain vacation next summer, we’d love to have you. You can order tickets online at http://www.talleytrio.com or call 423-235-2916.
My high notes were called into action recently, when I was asked to fill in with the Hoppers for the Virginia Baptist Convention. Kim was absent due to the death of her father, and although the extenuating circumstances weren't pleasant, I enjoyed spending the day with them, and I think we made it through the program just fine. (Although, in case y'all didn't know, that girl sings some really high stuff!) Please remember the Greenes and their family in your prayers.
My final exams are fast approaching, (thank God!) and I am up to my eyebrows in song demos, preparing for my new solo project. Mom recently spoke and sang at a women's conference especially for pastors' wives, and I understand she did great (although she never thinks so). Dad is busy in the studio, as always. By the time you read this, I will have just finished two days of backup vocal sessions for fellow Crossroads artist Mark Bishop, who can churn out a good song like a fresh cup of coffee. Is it any wonder we're looking forward to a break?!
On Thanksgiving afternoon, we'll gather around the table with the family and give thanks for all the many blessing God has bestowed upon us. I'm sure you and your family will feel the same way. Happy Holidays!
Until next time,
Lauren Talley

Crabb Family - God’s Handiwork

November turns our hearts toward thanks. We could write forever and there would still not be enough words, ink, nor paper to say thanks to God for all He has done for us. Daily He opens new doors for our ministry that we can hardly comprehend. He allows us the chance to minister to people of all ages, races, and walks of life. We never want to take that for granted. He has reunited our family. This Thanksgiving we will all celebrate together. What a blessing! Our family is all healthy. God has kept us safe MANY miles on the road. We have some of the greatest friends in the world. Everyone from our record company to the person driving down the road listening to our song on the radio, we consider a friend. God has blessed us far more than we deserve.
Thank you to Daywind, BSA, Singing News, Southern Gospel News, Solid Gospel, Southern Gospel radio, Pastors, Promoters, Friends who have bought our music and concert tickets. We have the greatest “family” in the world. God is good! Take some time to thank Him for all He’s done for you!
The Quicks - He Can Move the Water

I was out the door headed for City Hall for early voting when the bottom dropped! It started pouring down raining, so after returning to the house for a jacket, I ran back out to the van. As soon as I started the engine, I heard “Step into the Water, wade out a little bit deeper,” on the radio – a classic from The Cathedrals. “Now that’s ironic,” I thought, as I began to attempt to dry off some of the rain that had pelted me. Here I was trying to stay out of the water, but there is one account in the Bible where people were actually trying to get IN the water! In John 5, we read of a pool called Bethesda where many sick folk lay, verse 3 “...waiting for the moving of the water.” 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.” Verses 5-8 tell how Jesus arrived on the scene and had a conversation with one particular man who had been lying by the pool for 38 years, but was never able to get into the water first due to his infirmity. Verse 8 “Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” The man was healed immediately! His days of trying to get into the water when it was moved were over... the man found out that Jesus can move the water for you!
Be listening for our family’s first single, “He Can Move the Water” on Rick Hendrix Radio Comp Disc #31!
